 The regeneration of Trafford Wharfside has been a longstanding priority for Trafford Council, given its strategic location between Trafford Park and Salford Quays. With its proximity to major transport nodes and strong links to Manchester city center, Wharfside has the potential to revitalize the northern part of the Borough. This initiative aims to deliver significant economic and social benefits for both the Council and the local community by transforming the area into a thriving, mixed-use district.

The vision for Trafford Wharfside is to create a dynamic new gateway for Trafford, seamlessly blending work, leisure, and residential opportunities along the waterfront. Drawing on its proximity to world-class creative enterprises, such as MediaCityUK, and key visitor attractions, including iconic football landmarks, the development aims to attract new investment and residents. By celebrating the industrial history of Trafford Park and integrating vibrant entertainment industries, the project establishes a fresh identity for the area as one of the most exciting creative neighborhoods in the UK.

As a student project, the entire design and planning for this proposal were executed solely by me. From research and conceptualization to layout design and the integration of four distinct land uses—industrial, residential, entertainment, and commercial—I ensured a cohesive and innovative vision. This effort reimagines Wharfside as a lively and multifunctional hub, offering a unique sense of place while reinforcing its position as Trafford’s vibrant new gateway.
