The S.M.I.L.E. project serves as a key strategic blueprint for the city’s spatial governance, envisioning a sustainable waterfront environment. Developed by AECOM, it integrates multidisciplinary expertise, innovative programs, and ecological preservation into a holistic master plan. This plan not only addresses current needs but also establishes guidelines for future developments. It emphasizes enhancing the cycling and walking experience along the coastline and river, leveraging the region's blue infrastructure while respecting the ecological and agricultural significance of the canal system.

In my role within the government, I oversaw the entire project lifecycle for a site strategically located along Hsinchu’s renowned 17-kilometer coastline, a popular destination for tourists and cyclists. My responsibilities included preparing tender documents, managing the bidding process, coordinating with contractors, and supervising on-site execution. Despite the short construction timeline of approximately eight months, I facilitated communication among stakeholders, conducted site meetings, and organized the opening event. The project has since become a key recreational destination along the coastline, reflecting its importance to the community.

As a government representative, I collaborated with AECOM in connecting the city’s blue infrastructure. My role involved negotiating and executing project deliverables while ensuring compliance with public procurement processes and construction standards. This successful delivery highlights my expertise in managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects and my ability to contribute to long-term urban development objectives.
